We offer various paths for gymnasts looking to expand their gymnastics experience and gain opportunities. Our competitive programs focus on individual growth in strength, skill, and character in a positive and supportive environment as a team.

We believe in utilizing gymnastics to help build lifelong character traits such as respect for ourselves/each other/property, punctuality, integrity, perseverance, honesty, commitment, and much more. Most of all we believe that kids can work hard and still have fun while doing it. All of our team coaches are USA Gymnastics and Safe Sport Certified.

Pre-team is a starting point for kids that have experienced our recreational program and are looking to move into our competitive program in the future.

Pre-team is intended to build the foundation for future gymnastics progression in our competitive team programs. We focus on strength, flexibility, body spacial awareness, and gymnastics skills that will help enable mastery of future skills.

Age range for pre-team is 5-8 yrs old and we have a pre-team for girls and one for boys. Tryouts are typically in May, we are looking for potential based on strength and flexibility, ability to do basic gymnastics movements, and their capability to listen and follow directions and make corrections.

Mid-Columbia Gymnastics offers competitive gymnastics through USA Gymnastics, the governing body of gymnastics. We offer Level 3 through 10 for girls ages 5-18 years of age. The majority of our competitive gymnasts come out of our recreational program. Students are selected based on physical ability, attitude and willingness to learn and take corrections in a positive way. All of our competitive gymnasts train year round.

Competitive gymnastics requires a joint commitment from the child and the family as a whole. All of our gymnasts learn routines on bars, beam, floor exercise and balance beam which they compete at meets. Our coaching staff also emphasizes safety, conditioning, core strength and general fitness. MCGA coaches are safety certified through USA Gymnastics. Gymnastics prepares children for a life time of physical fitness and teaches life skills that they will carry with them for a lifetime.

Mid-Columbia Gymnastics XCEL program offers gymnasts of varying abilities and commitment levels the opportunity for a rewarding gymnastics experience.

The girls will train less hours than our developmental teams which allows them to do more activities outside of the gym. XCEL gymnasts will compete in 3-5 meets per season (we try to limit traveling to closer meets).

XCEL does not have compulsory levels where all of the girls do the same routines on each event. Instead there are specific requirements for each division (Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond). The coaches and the athletes are able to put routines together for the gymnasts which plays into each individual's strengths. The coach decides which level is best for each athlete. This is a great program for girls who love gymnastics and want to compete while still enjoying other activities.

Mid-Columbia Gymnastics offers Level 3-10. Team members learn routines on each of the six men’s events. There are different routines for each level. We offer teams to ages 6-18 years. Boys train year round anywhere from 4-8+ hours per week. There is a monthly training tuition for each level and boys are moved up when they are ready. The competitive season runs January through March. The rest of the year is spent learning routines, working new skills and building strength and flexibility. Team is a year round commitment from parents and students.

At MCGA, safety is most important and skills are taught in a progressive format to ensure proper learning. Although this is a team sport, each member is challenged and encouraged to do their personal best at all times.
